Badminton is a sport that is loved by everyone and easy to learn, but as a beginner, you should fully understand and learn the basic knowledge and skills of badminton, including how to hold the racket, hold the ball, serve, swing the racket, receive the ball, control the landing point, take the initiative to attack, as well as basic sparring skills.
Grip
Hold the Bagua in the Diao Pai posture, with the index finger and thumb holding the grip surface parallel to the racket surface respectively, and the remaining three fingers clasp the grip tightly. For the forehand shot, the index finger is lifted up, and the thumb is slightly contracted, and for the backhand shot, the thumb is lifted up. , the index finger retracts.
Don't hold it tightly to cause inflexibility in switching shots.
Badminton rules
You can hold the badminton any way you want. The first prerequisite for serving is accuracy, so as long as the ball can be stabilized, any method of holding it will do.
The usual methods of holding a badminton can be divided into the following two types:
1. Gently pinch the top of the feather with your fingers, with the ball support facing downwards.
2. Use five fingers to lightly hold the ball above the ball support, with the ball support part facing downwards.
No matter which method you use to hold the ball, you must usually train until you can hit the ball in a certain position.
serve shot method
There are two ways to hit the ball:
Toss up the serve:
Throw down the badminton with one hand and swing the racket with the other hand at the same time, so that the intersection of the trajectory of the front end of the racket and the landing point of the badminton becomes the instant hitting point. This method has a larger movement, and the ball hit is more powerful and can fly high and far.
Serve without dropping the ball:
This way of serving is like retracting the arm holding the racket and touching the racket with the hand holding the badminton ball. This service method has a smaller range of action and can hit the ball into the opponent's receiving court with a short hit.
high ball
This method of serving is to hit the ball near the end line of the opponent's court and drop it vertically from a high position, with the purpose of making the opponent retreat.
It is easier to throw the ball when serving. The posture is to put the left foot forward and the right foot behind. Gently throw the ball. When the ball leaves the hand, swing the racket. It is best to bend the arm and hit the ball at the moment before straightening, using the twist of the wrist. Swing the racket over your left shoulder to let the ball fly high and far.
short low serve
The purpose is to hit the ball near the opponent's front service line. It is best to control the ball at a height just over the net to prevent the opponent from launching an offensive. Serve without tossing the ball.
Touch the racket the same way a badminton ball does, bend your arms and hit the ball with a small swing. Fast and intense movements should be avoided as much as possible, and the ball can be sent out with a light push, forehand or backhand.
Because throwing the serve requires a large preparatory action, it is easy for the opponent to predict that you are going to hit a high and long ball; but at this time, the server can suddenly reduce his strength and serve a short and low ball instead, catching the opponent off guard. Similarly, you can also serve without throwing the ball to make the opponent think you are going to serve a short low ball, and temporarily hit a high ball or a flat ball. These are all serving strategies
swing style
forehand swing
Long ball - when preparing to hit the ball, stand sideways in a bow-drawing position. The right-hand player has his right foot behind and steps into a "T-step" to lock the ball's flight with his left hand. The left-hand player does the opposite and relaxes his wrist when hitting the ball. Keep your arms straight and raise the racket head.
Smashing the ball and chipping the ball in the backcourt - the swing method is similar to that of the long ball. The difference is that when hitting the ball, the racket is facing down, and when cutting the ball, the force is reduced.
backhand swing
Turn your back to the direction of the ball, and the right-handed player crosses the right foot to the left, locks the ball with the right hand axis, and uses the wrist to control the hitting angle of the racket surface to hit the long ball, cut the ball, or smash the ball.
Tips for running the meter step
The general preparation position is to stand about half a step behind the front service line, with your feet across the center line. It is estimated that you will advance to the front of the net and lift the shot to the two corners in front of the net for about a few steps, up to two to three steps, depending on your personal pace. Depending on the size, take about three to four steps back; if the number is an odd number, the right foot will step forward first; if the number is an even number, the left foot will step forward directly.
All in all, when preparing to hit the ball, whether moving forward or backward, the center of gravity is placed on the right foot and moving sideways. The above are all for right-hand players, and vice versa with the left hand. The so-called rice-step is this running method. Practice running on the left and right sides, the four corners and the eight points straight forward and back to form the word "rice".
serve shot method
The serve is the most difficult of the badminton shots (controlling the flight of the ball).
Regarding the badminton serving method, there are very detailed and strict restrictions in the rules. Simply put, you must hit the ball from bottom to top, and you must wait for the opponent's receiver to be ready before serving. It is not like volleyball, billiards, tennis and other games where you launch an offensive from the beginning in order to serve and score.
Therefore, being able to serve stably at any time is equivalent to controlling the situation. Therefore, serving is the most important batting technique.
landing point
hit point
The correct hitting point of the swing is the racket surface at the front of the racket, which is the hitting position with the longest force arm and the easiest force application. If the long ball or smash ball hits this point correctly, it will make a loud noise. Sound, if you can't hit the point correctly, it will be a waste of effort and only achieve half the result with twice the result; therefore, with diligent practice, you can master the accurate swing time and hitting point.
drop point
You must master the strength when hitting the ball. After you can control the ball, find someone to practice hitting the ball from the four corners to the four corners of the opposite court, because hitting the four corners will allow the opponent to run the longest distance.
The practice method is:
Play a long ball from the back two corners to the opposite back two corners, and place the ball to the front two corners; pick up the opposite back two corners from the front two corners, and place the small ball in the front two corners. A total of forty-six styles of play can be derived.
How to catch the ball
Here is the secret to becoming a good player. When receiving the ball from the opponent:
You must try your best to be in the ready position and focus on where the ball is about to fly when your opponent hits the ball. Don't wait until the ball flies out before running away. This will lose the opportunity. This can be judged by the opponent's swing strength and the angle of the racket face. Remember to pay attention Ball head, don't worry about your wrist movements to avoid being fooled by feints. The receiver must stand in the service box diagonally from the server. Be careful at all times to avoid mistakes that receivers tend to make.
During a doubles game, the catcher's partner cannot catch the ball. Beginners often swing their bat to hit the ball regardless of whether they should catch the ball when they see the ball flying in front of them. This is something you should pay special attention to.
